Internet Safety
During the first several months of school, all students from grades prekindergarten through 5th participated in discussions and completed activities on internet safety. The internet safety topics included Appropriate Behavior Online, Cyber-Bullying, and Social Networking. Technology is everywhere and a big part of a student’s education, so it is very important that these topics be discussed and practiced on a regular basis, not just at school but at home too. More and more learning tasks are being assigned which require students to log on to web sites in order to complete and use online communication with their teachers.
